Painting Tip for Terra Cotta Pots

Remember to always seal/paint the inside of terra cotta pots as well as the outside. If you only paint the outside, the porous, unsealed inside will absorb moisture. That moisture will go through the terra cotta pores and push paint off the outside. You will begin to see bubbles in the painted finish. This is what causes paint to flake or peel off terra cotta pots.
