Happy Harvest Pot



Patio Paint brings the colors of fall to your home with this festive centerpiece or table accent.

DecoArt Products Required

Patio Paint

• DCP14 - Cloud White
• DCP21 - Wrought Iron Black
• DCP52 - Pumpkin
• DCP57 - Marigold
• DCP59 - Sweet Pea
• DCP61 - Vintage Rose
• DCP65 - Tuscan Red

Supplies

• 1" flat or sponge brush
• #8 flat brush
• #0 liner brush
• Water container
• Palette or plastic plate
• Paper towels
• Styrofoam block
• Floral pins
• Low-tack painter's tape
• Assorted fall picks
• Two 24" pieces of wired ribbon
• Raffia
• Scissors
• Straw hat
• Thick craft glue

Surfaces

• 8.3" standard clay pot
• 5" Styrofoam ball

Instructions

Allow to dry between steps.

1. Use 1" brush and Sweet Pea to paint pot base.
2. Mask off stripes one color at a time, allowing paint to dry between tape applications. Paint stripes Marigold, Pumpkin, and Sweet Pea. Tape off horizontal stripe around rim center. Paint stripe Pumpkin. Remove tape.
3. Paint Styrofoam ball Vintage Rose.
4. Mix small amount of Tuscan Red into Vintage Rose. Lightly brush on face for cheeks.
5. Use #8 flat brush to paint nose Tuscan Red and eyes Wrought Iron Black.
6. Use liner brush and Wrought Iron Black to outline nose and paint mouth.
7. Use liner brush and Cloud White to dot eye highlights.
8. ASSEMBLY: Press head down onto pot rim to mark groove. Use brush handle or other object to deepen groove. Apply glue inside groove. Position and press head onto pot.
Use floral pins to secure raffia hair on head. Gather raffia on each side of head and use ribbon to tie ponytails with bow. Push remaining Styrofoam piece into pot and secure with glue or floral clay. Position and push fall picks into pot as desired. Position hat on head and secure with floral pins.
