Traveling with Art Supplies

When I travel and want to take sketching or painting supplies along, I recycle paper towel core tubes to make a pencil/paintbrush holder. Simply press in sides on one end and tape to seal it, then insert paintbrushes or pencils into tube and fold in other end. Saves space in transporting and can easily be thrown into a tote bag with a paper pad or canvas. This method also prevents smashing of bristles or breaking of lead tips! When I take a glass jar along to hold water when painting, the tube will fit nicely into the opening of jar.
